The Gala Dinner on Friday, December 14, will be hosted at the restaurant Los Adobes de Argomedo, in the downtown of Santiago de Chile, and promises to be a lively and elegant celebration.
Los Adobes de Argomedo is one of the most traditional and rustic places of Colonial decoration in Santiago de Chile, where Chileans and foreigners go to have a lovely time and an excellent meal, while enjoying the most lively Folkloric show.
This is an excellent opportunity to taste famous Chilean gastronomy. The food tradition and recipes in Chile are notable for the variety of flavours and ingredients, with the country’s diverse geography and climate hosting a wide range of agricultural produce, fruits and vegetables. The long coastline and the peoples' relationship with the Pacific Ocean add an immense array of seafood products to Chilean cuisine. Chile is also one of the world’s largest producers of wine and many Chilean recipes are enhanced and accompanied by local wines.
This is also the evening per excellence of IFABS conferences when the achievements and intelectual contributions of our members are recognised and rewarded. Winners of the IFABS 2018 Chile Conference Awards will be awarded on the night.
